The Wuggly Ump
This gives the book a paint by number feel that is appropriate to the story, with the colored areas being flat solid tones which infill elements of the drawings. There are 3 kids and the rhyme shows them and this monster who gets closer and closer.

In later years he illustrated many children’s books by John Bellairs, as well as books in several series begun by Bellairs and continued by other authors after his death.
