I loved this book and it should be part of the class room as a must read!
Maybe I would have enjoyed it more if I had listened to this one first. He was urged to have surgery or never walk again. Then, he shows how to use this knowledge about neuroplasticity and neurogenesis to rewire and reshape our brain.
It will stimulate and challenge your brain, it will change the way you think about your “thinking” and it will give you the basic understanding of how we learn and form habits in order to later help you try to break some noe those habits.
The entire rest of the book is based on a mix of this cults influence and his science background. It is difficult at first and requires our utmost attention but we eventually wire our brain so that no conscious thought is necessary other than to decide to ride Very thought provoking pun intended: I much preferred the narrator of Dr Joe’s two later books.
What’s more, at no point in human history have we had access to so much information, with such relative ease, as we do in the 21st century.
Not unhappy for having it recommended in the library app. I’m looking forward to the second time around, which I think I’ll start straight away. Evolve Your Brain presents this information in depth, while helping you take control of your mind, explaining how thoughts can create chemical reactions that keep you addicted to patterns and feelings–including ones that make you unhappy.

My only frustration was; although the narrator has an excellent voice, he ends each sentence as if it were a conclusion. There’s just one chapter that I struggled with, that goes into the science behind each part of the brain, bit the rest of this book kept me engaged.
